Principals.
David L. Potter, President. Dave has spent more than 20 years in new venture development, ranging from startup subsidiaries of Fortune 200 companies to university based spinout companies and operational turnaround situations. He has served as Chief Operating Officer, Chief Marketing Officer, and hands-on mentor/consultant to founders of Life Sciences, Information Technology, and Consumer Products companies. He founded Momentum Venture Associates in 2002 following the sale of Previser Health Solutions, Inc., for which he served as co-founder and Chief Operating Officer. Dave previously held senior General Management and Marketing positions with divisions of General Mills, Textron, Swarovski North America, and the Unum Corporation. He graduated from Bowdoin College and earned a Masters of Business Administration degree from Dartmouth College.
Roger P. Day, Principal. Roger has worked with early stage technology companies in a variety of roles since 1986 as a senior operating principal and investment banker. A graduate of Yale University, Roger co-founded a boutique investment firm that funded successful ventures in pediatric medicine, commercial software, and media. Although Roger’s special expertise is in Finance and Operations, he is also active in raising investment funding for Momentum Venture Associates clients.
Danny Warshay, Principal. A successful entrepreneur in the software, publishing, and nutritional products industries, Danny has been working with founders of promising Life Sciences and Consumer Products companies since 2003. Prior to joining Momentum, Danny was a Marketing executive with the Duncan Hines subsidiary of Procter & Gamble and the co-founder of a software company that was sold to Apple Computer. He was subsequently a partner in a New England venture capital firm, and has mentored 11 early stage companies. Danny is a graduate of Brown University and the Harvard Business School, and currently teaches two courses in Entrepreneurship at Brown.
Bob Stoddard, Principal. Bob has been supporting start-up Life Sciences
and Information Technology ventures in a variety of roles since 1993. Clients
have included BioTrove, EOS Pharmaceutical, Infomedics Corporation, SonaMed and
others. He is a Certified Public Accountant with extensive connections into, and
experience with, private equity, venture capital, and debt financing sources in
the Northeast. Prior to joining Momentum, Bob was a senior Financial officer
with Arthur Anderson & Company, the Reece Corporation, Abbott Biotech Inc., and
Biogen, Inc. He is a graduate of Princeton University and a former officer in
the U.S. Navy.
